Infernal Overlap
[INO]
WEAPON LOGIC: sc-044 [Dual-Phase Incineration]
A specialized armament property that overrides standard thermal safety protocols. While conventional OS logic overwrites existing "Burn" status effects to prevent catastrophic meltdown, sc-044 enables two distinct thermal phases to synchronize, facilitating a terrifyingly efficient erosion of the target's structural integrity.
| Max Layers | 2 Concurrent Phases |

| Stagger Interaction | Inhibits Accumulation Reset |
| Fatal Limit | Minimum HP 1 (Non-Lethal) |
The Mechanism of Persistent Erosion
The defining characteristic of this logic is its Fixed Damage output. Since the thermal damage ignores defensive values and tactical affinities, it guarantees consistent DPS even against heavily armored or high-tier adversaries.
Furthermore, while the "Burn" effect itself does not contribute to stagger accumulation, the periodic damage intervals act as a constant "Impact Event." This prevents the target's OS from initiating its Stagger Accumulation Recovery, keeping the enemy in a perpetually vulnerable state where even a stray bullet could trigger a full stagger.
Operational Restrictions
Despite its offensive potency, the "Infernal Overlap" is a tool for attrition, not execution. Thermal erosion alone cannot penetrate the final core safety of a mobile suit, leaving the target at 1 HP. A final kinetic or beam-based intervention is required for total neutralization. Additionally, the effect is instantly purged by Emergency Evasion, Water Entry, or specialized fields like Frisy Yard.
