Tristan

GBO2 Column #018

This machine first appeared in the gacha pickup of Sept, 17, 2020. The identity of this machine in the original story is that of the prototype machine "Alex", which was refurbished after a few strange fates. Furthermore, the generation in which this machine was actually in operation was a future time than the era of Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ. The performance of the machine itself is not the highest performance of its time period, and it is a bit further in the past than the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ generation. For this reason, it is assumed to be a suitable machine for the GBO2 Gacha lineup at the time.

There is a difference in the weapons handled by this machine between the original film and the comic book version. I have previously written a GBO2 article (fantasy) about Tristan equipped with equipment from the original comic book. (See "Tristan Failnaught"

My first impression of this machine on GBO2 was not very favorable, I think. That's due to the performance of the main weapon. The fact that the main weapon, the beam rifle, cannot instantly unbalance the enemy and the heat gauge consumption can be high even without charging it, which led to the weapon's low rating. The way this weapon operated was different from the standards many users were used to dealing with, which made this weapon seem unwieldy. Over time, the effective way of operating this machine seemed to be correct, mainly focusing on melee attacks and operating closer to the Raid type of operation, if you will, as an analogy. Once it was recognized by many users, this machine seemed to have a certain reputation.

The machine's relatively small size is unique, as there are many machines taller than 20 meters in the 600+ cost environment, so this machine will look very small. In addition, its high turning ability (78) and walking speed (135) make it feel fast to hostile players. The beam rifle's high damage accumulation, combined with the Gatling, which has a longer range than the Alex, can effectively throw the enemy off balance. In addition, melee weapons have a shorter time to complete a weapon changeover than other weapons, allowing for quicker attacks. It is not known if it can be linked from the club. The machine body has excellent mobility, with evasion, Forced Injector, and air dash skills.

As of Nov, 07, 2020, this machine isn't so poorly performing that it is always disliked, nor is it so powerful that having more of these machines in your team will give you a fighting advantage. I can't say that there will be any enhanced treatment for this machine in the future, but I don't think it will be treated the way it is forever.
