Vertical Aerial Anchor / VAA
sc-081 BALLISTIC FIXATION LOGIC
A tactical siege protocol that transforms mid-air vulnerability into a strategic advantage. By deploying a "Gravity Anchor" upon weapon trigger, the unit achieves absolute ballistic stability, enabling the use of heavy weaponry while suspended in the air.
- Aerial Siege Mode: Allows firing of stationary-stance weapons during jump maneuvers. The unit's vertical descent is halted upon firing.
- Reaction Immunity: Grants complete resistance to Standard Stagger, Heavy Stun, and Knockdown effects from trigger-pull until landing.
- Vulnerability: System remains susceptible to Melee Tackles and Accumulated Impact (Stun).
- Charging Descent: During energy charging, the unit descends slowly; full stabilization and immunity activate only at the moment of discharge.
Recovery & Kinetic Management
Landing after system activation typically results in a Heavy Recovery Stiffness, leaving the unit exposed. However, this penalty can be neutralized through high-mobility maneuvers. By executing an Airborne Jump or Mid-Air Dash via the Flight Control Program before touching down, the pilot can reset the unit's kinetic state for immediate combat re-entry.
Operational Profile
VAA redefines the role of the aerial sniper. It allows a pilot to establish an unassailable "Vertical Nest" in the sky, ignoring enemy suppressive fire to deliver critical strikes. The sky is no longer a path of transit, but a fortified sniping platform where gravity itself is anchored to the pilot's will.
