As the weather turns cold, GBO2 celebrates with the Winter Festival 2021. While the Battle Simulator mission update brings the Moon Gundam into the spotlight, I found myself drawn back to a familiar giant: the Psycho Gundam.

The Faith in "Active Guard"

My wish is to confront Psycho Gundam's fierce attacks using the FA Gundam Mk-II. Specifically, I want to test the Active Guard skill—a high-risk, high-reward defensive tool.

The FA Gundam Mk-II lacks Emergency Evasion or Maneuver Armor. This omission suggests the developers were testing how a pure defensive skill would influence the established game balance.

Reorganizing the Battlefield

In the early days, shields and evasion were rare. As the game evolved, these became standard. However, developers seem to aim for a "higher-order environment" by introducing skills like Active Guard to machines losing their individuality.

A month since GBO Code Fairy (Vol. 1), new MS variations like the massive Dom with its cannons and halberds have injected fresh energy into the 200-550 cost bracket. They provide unique characteristics that were becoming scarce.

A Lesson from the Past: The Loss of GBO

The end of the original GBO brought a great sense of loss. Memories and custom colors became inaccessible. While GBO2 is vast, I am always prepared for the day its service might also reach an end.

The Wish for a Digital Library

Code Fairy is more than a game; it is a digital library that prevents the total loss of assets. My wish is for more "Gaiden" titles in later eras to ensure these machines remain operable even after the online service ends.

It's been a while since I stopped writing articles, but I'm still playing GBO2. I'm not a good gamer, nor am I particularly knowledgeable about Gundam games, but I love the game and related works, and I'm pouring some of my passion into it.

Since GBO2 is mainly about versus battles, I mainly talk about the trivia of the game characters—the Mobile Suits. However, this is not a game strategy that will give you an advantage in battle.
