Analysis of Raid Enhancements

Reflections on the game environment and the "missing piece" in Raid-type balancing. (Context: Early 2021)

The Paradox of Raid Difficulty

While three major enhancements successfully lowered the barrier to entry, the operational difficulty remains high. I believe the true resolution lies in a fourth, yet-to-be-implemented tweak: Durability.

Proposed vs. Implemented Tweaks

  1. Reduced thruster consumption during high-speed movement.
  2. Universal addition of the Assault Booster skill.
  3. Enhancements to Maneuver Armor LV2.
  4. [Pending] Defense increase when facing 3+ General types.

The Logic & Current Evaluation

Until a system to reduce damage taken from multiple disadvantageous enemies is implemented, the Raid-type's struggle will continue. Developers are moving to correct the stigma, but my final evaluation remains on hold.

Raid mains await the dawn of true tactical sustainability.
